The citizenship by investment program of St. Kitts and Nevis is the oldest, but still a top-ranked CBI program among investors for acquiring second citizenship as reported by the Financial Time’s PWM publication.
Recently, the newly appointed board of Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of St. Kitts has introduced a limited-time offer (LTO) on the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF) option.
Starting from January 1st, 2023, the applicants can benefit from the reduction of USD 25,000 from the minimum fee of non-refundable donation for the next six months as listed below:
- Main applicant: USD 125,000
- Main applicant and a spouse: USD 150,000
- Main applicant, spouse and two dependents: USD 170,000
- Each additional dependent under 18: USD 10,000
- Each additional dependent over 18: USD 25,000
Not only applicants will enjoy this discount, but also, under the LTO, the Accelerated Application Process (AAP) will be applied to all applications without any additional charges, which reduce the processing time from 90 days to 60 days. After July 1st, 2023, the CBI fees in the SGF route will revert to their original established amounts.
There are other amendments in St. Kitts CBI programs options as well.
Starting this January, only Government Approved Developments are entitled to real estate investment with a minimum investment of USD 200,000.
The Private Home Sale Investment option with a minimum investment of USD 400,000 per application, is another available investment option in the real estate market of St. Kitts.
To qualify for this option, residences must be government-approved and compatible with these restrictions:
- 7-year time limit on reselling
- Ban on transferring to another CBI applicant
- Limitation on converting into apartments or condominiums
Instead of the Alternative Investment Option (AIO), the newly introduced Public Good Investment Option (PGIO) applies to investors in the CBI program with a minimum investment of USD 175,000. Previous developers and investors of AIO developments should reapply to be designated as Approved Public Good Investors within 45 days.
