TIMELINE
After retaining MICS and paying its initial professional fee the first step is to study the client’s profile and his/her foreign business structure. and start the US market research.
The MICS legal team will start the market research for that specific field of activity to decide whether to create a new parent, a branch, or an affiliate of the applicant’s existing foreign enterprise. The initial business plan will be drafted.
The MICS processing team will prepare a list of civil and financial documents required by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and will complete the comprehensive business plan accordingly.
Once the business plan is accepted or the petition from the employer is accepted, MICS will look for a physical office in the US and apply for the L1 temporary work permit. This is when the second payment of the MICS professional fee is due.
The temporary work permit will be issued to the applicant and the dependent family members and they all can move to the USA and the children can have access to the public education system. The MICS remaining balance is due now.
Once arriving in the US, the applicant should start and run his/her business on a daily basis management and meet all the required terms and conditions of the business plan to be able to renew his/her work permit.
