After retaining MICS and paying its initial professional fee, the first step is to sign the Power of Attorney (POA) document.
Then, MICS processing team will provide the applicant with a precise list of civil and financial documents required by the government.MICS performs tier 2 due diligence and ensures correctness and completeness of the application. It may request further information or documents to ensure all the necessary documentation is in order.
Tier 3 and 4 Due Diligence will be applied, and MICS will present the Citizenship application to the minister.Upon receiving the positive response for the citizenship application from the immigration, the application for the citizenship can be submitted for the VIP option of 12 months processing or the normal 36 months procedure.
Upon application approval the applicant needs to fulfill the Exceptional Direct Investment depending on the normal or VIP option. Another investment that must be made plus the Government donation is either the purchase of residential property or annual rent of it.
MICS will coordinate a date for the Oath of Allegiance to be done in Malta.
